Georgia Bans Export of EU Cars to Russia, Belarus
Effective today, re-export of specific EU-made cars from Georgia to Russia and Belarus is banned. The ban applies to cars with an engine capacity of more than 1900ccm as well as to electric and hybrid vehicles.
The ban was introduced in accordance with the EU’s 11th package of sanctions against Russia.
Similarly, since August 1, the re-export of the US-made cars from to Belarus and Russia had been prohibited.
