Georgia’s Foreign Trade Up 36.6% in January-August
Georgia’s foreign trade turnover of goods amounted to USD 11.9 billion between January-August 2022 – a 36.6% increase as compared to the same period last year, according to the express data released by the National Statistics Office (Geostat) on September 13.
Exports grew by 36.9% to USD 3.57 billion, while imports increased by 36.5% to USD 8.36 billion. The trade deficit between January-August was USD 4.79 billion, amounting to 40.2% of the trade turnover.
