Georgia Denies it Sells Igla Missiles
(Tbilisi, August 14, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze dismissed as disinformation today report of the Russian media sources that Georgia sells its portable surface-to-air Igla missile systems.
Russian news agencies report quoting anonymous sources in the Russian Defense Ministry that Georgia rejected Russia’s request to provide information regarding the quantity of Igla missiles owned by the Georgian side. The source added that the Georgia rejected request because it sells Igla missiles.
