Davit Bakradze, the number on in the ruling party’s list of MP candidates, said the National Movement would win majority seats in the new parliament after the May 21 elections.
“If any political party has to have a hope of winning majority [in the new Parliament] it is the National Movement,” Bakradze said in a late-night political talk show, Primetime, aired by Rustavi 2 TV on May 19. “We have high probability of gaining majority in the parliament.”
Ruling party officials have said that Bakradze would become Chairman of the Parliament if the ruling party succeeds in the May 21 parliamentary elections.
