Rupel: EU will not Take Side in Russo-Georgian Tension

Dimitrij Rupel, the Foreign Minister of Slovenia, which holds European Union’s presidency, said on May 9, that EU would not take sides in the Georgian-Russian dispute and would work towards a peaceful solution, The Associated Press and Slovenian Press Agency reported.


Rupel will lead a group of EU foreign ministers, which plans to pay one-day visit to Georgia next week. The group will also include Swedish, Lithuanian and Polish foreign ministers, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
