South Ossetian Special Forces Hold Maneuvers

The Press and Information Committee of breakaway South Ossetia reported that the special forces of the unrecognized republic have recently held routine exercises ?in one of the gorges in order to improve [their] capabilities in combating reconnaissance [enemy] units.?

?These kinds of exercises became necessary for an adequate response to a threat coming from a foreign enemy,? the Press and Information Committee reported.
