British Airways to Resume Flights in Georgia

The British Mediterranean Airways, which is a franchise partner to British Airways, will resume Tbilisi-London flights after a break of 18 months starting from November 1.


In a statement issued on August 25, the British Airways that the service will feature two flights a week, on Monday and Saturday and the schedule allows passengers to connect with British Airways same day flights to many North American destinations.
 
?We are delighted to resume services between Georgia and the UK on behalf of British Airways after such a long break. A resumption of services has only been possible thanks to the support we have received from the new government of Georgia and the British Embassy to whom we extend out gratitude,? Des Hetherington, Chief Executive of British Mediterranean Airways, said.


The Georgian authorities canceled the British Mediterranean Airways? flights last February under the pretext of non-payment of taxes and problems with the Georgian flagship Airzena company.
