Georgian Minister Hails Polish President’s Statement

Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Bakradze has described the statement by Polish President Lech Kaczynski over Georgia’s NATO integration as “very honorable.”

“I think that this is an honorable response of the honorable state to that language in which Russia dares to speak with Europe,” Bakradze told reporters on April 10. “We appreciate this statement and this position. It means that Poland, even at the expense of jeopardizing itself, stands beside Georgia. Georgia is not alone in Europe, despite the opinions of skeptics. We will certainly win a victory together with such friends.”
