OSCE Chairman-in-Office Meets South Ossetian Leader

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht held talks with South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity in Tskhinvali on June 23, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.
 
?I hope that your personal visit to South Ossetia will help you in getting acquainted with the problems of conflict resolution and will promote active participation of the OSCE in the conflict resolution,? Eduard Kokoity said.

Kokoity also noted that OSCE observers in the conflict zone ?often provide biased information to their top leadership,? according t the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee.

The South Ossetian leader stressed the importance of donors? conference, which was held in Brussels on June 14 to raise funds for the economic rehabilitation of the conflict zone. ?All the issues adopted at this conference will become an important step towards conflict resolution,? he said.
