S.Ossetia Invites OSCE Ambassadors to Visit Tskhinvali

Foreign Minister of breakaway South Ossetia Murat Jioyev invited diplomats from the OSCE member states to visit the South Ossetian conflict zone to get acquainted with the situation on the ground, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported on February 3.

In his letter to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht, Jioyev noted that this kind of visit by ambassadors accredited at the OSCE headquarters in Vienna would contribute in “better informing of member states and leadership of the OSCE about the real state of affairs in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone and about the South Ossetian leadership’s position on peaceful resolution of the conflict.”
