South Ossetia Reports Tskhinvali Shelling
Two 120mm mortar shells exploded in the so called ‘Textile’ district of the breakaway South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali at approximately at 4:20 pm on October 16, causing no injuries, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported on Monday.
According to this report, mortar fire was opened from the Georgian village of Kheiti, located north-west of Tskhinvali. The Georgian side has not yet commented on this report.
