Gallup Survey: Georgians in Top of Most Optimistic Nations

According to a survey conducted by Gallup International Georgia is again near the top of the world?s most optimistic countries, as 71% of Georgian respondents believe 2005 will be a successful year for the country.


The survey was conducted in November and December, 2004 in more than 65 countries and comprised interviews with 60,000 citizens across the world. Only Tunisia and Vietnam are ahead of Georgia in the latest survey.


Similar surveys by Gallup International in previous years show that Georgians? optimism was boosted after the 2003 November Rose Revolution.


The previous survey showed 73% of Georgians believed that 2004 would be a successful, against 46% in 2002.
