Opposition Plans Rally in Sokhumi

Reports say that the Abkhaz opposition will hold a rally in the center of the capital Sokhumi on November 12 in support of Sergey Bagapsh, who claims victory in the October 3 presidential elections and who intends to be inaugurated as the new leader of the breakaway region on December 6.

The rally will occur just a few days after the pro-governmental presidential candidate Raul Khajimba, together with Abkhaz de facto Prime Minister Nodar Khashba, visited Moscow to hold consultations with Russian officials.
