Two Criminal Suspects Killed in Pankisi

(Tbilisi, May 23, Civil Georgia) – Armed clash occurred between criminal suspects and the police in the criminal-ridden Pankisi gorge late night on May 22.

Georgian Interior Ministry’s press service reports today that criminal suspects refused to surrender.

One of the suspects was killed after the criminals opened fire anther one was deadly wounded and died in the hospital.

Georgian State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania admitted that up to 100 Arab and 800 Chechen fighters are harboring in the troubled Pankisi gorge together with the local criminals.
