Power Ministries Try to Maintain the Right for Commercial Activity

Within the week Defense, State Security and Interior Ministries should present the list of the commercial companies owned by them. Anticorruption Council took the decision during the meeting with the representatives of the power ministries today.

According to the President’s verdict the Council demands that the commercial activities of the Ministries must be prohibited because such kind of activity is being regarded as the source of corruption in the power ministries, thus the companies owned by them should be transferred to the Ministry of the State Property Management.

Defense, State Security and Internal Affairs Ministries are against the decision. They claim that the commercial activity is a legal source of covering Ministries’ expenditures.
