Russia’s UES Ready to Increase Investments in Georgia
Chief of Russian state-run Unified Energy System (UES) Anatoly Chubais said on January 22 that UES is ready to increase investments in the energy sector of Georgia.
Russian energy chief met on January 22 with Georgian President-elect Mikheil Saakashvili in Davos, Switzerland, where both of them were attending the World Economic Forum.
As the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports, quoting Mikheil Saakashvili “UES has great plans regarding Georgia and I am ready to render official assistance, especially if these plans are purely economic.”
