Two Die in Light Plane Crash

A trainee pilot and an instructor died when their two-seater light aircraft crashed close to a runaway of TbilAviaMsheni aircraft factory in Tbilisi outskirts on April 6.

The Ukrainian-made A-22 plane, which belonged to the Tbilisi Aviation University, crashed after it “touched” a two-storey building close to the runaway, Temur Giorgadze, head of Tbilisi Municipality’s emergency situations service said.
