Sarkozy Arrives in Tbilisi
French President Nicolas Sarkozy arrived in Tbilisi late on September 8 from Moscow, where he held four-hour talks with his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev.
In Tbilisi, Sarkozy, who is accompanied by President of European Commission José Manuel Barroso and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, will hold talks with President Saakashvili.
The French and Russian presidents agreed in Moscow that Russia would pull out its troops from Georgian territories outside Abkhazia and South Ossetia within a month. Sarkozy has brought to Georgia an agreement on “additional measures to implement the August 12, 2008” six-point ceasefire plan.
