Deputy Foreign Minister Visits Moscow
Grigol Vashadze, the Georgian deputy foreign minister, will hold talks with Russian Foreign Ministry officials in Moscow on June 23.
“The relationship emerging between the two presidents [of Georgia and Russia] gives us ground for cautious optimism,” Vashadze told the Georgian Public Broadcaster in Moscow on June 23.
When asked whether the sides would discuss the seizure of Russian peacekeepers’ ammunition by the Georgian side, Vashadze replied: “We do not plan to speak much about this issue, because as you can understand, this is not the major issue of our relations. The most important thing is to settle major problems and this particular issue will be resolved."
