Zhvania, Kokoev may Meet in Late October
Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolutions Goga Khaindrava, who participates in the meeting of the Joint Control Commission over South Ossetian in Moscow, said on September 30 that the talks between Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and South Ossetian de facto President Eduard Kokoev tenatively scheduled for late October.
?Previously, the talks were planned to be held in Vladikavkaz [capital of Russia?s North Ossetia]. However, the Beslan tragedy disrupted this plan,? Goga Khaindrava told reporters on September 30.
Khaindrava named the Bulgarian capital Sofia as a possible venue for the talks. OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy has offered the conflicting sides to hold top level talks in Sofia.
