PM, U.S. Senator Discuss NATO Integration, Energy Security
Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli met with visiting U.S. Senator Richard Lugar in Tbilisi, discussing issues including Georgia?s NATO integration and energy security.
Richard Lugar said after talks that the United States supports Georgia?s NATO integration and peaceful resolution of the Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflicts.
Senator Lugar, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, is in Georgia from August 22-24 as part of a trip that follows the route of Central Asian oil. The U.S. Senator has already visited Kazakhstan and will also travel to Azerbaijan and Turkey as part of the trip.
