Two MPs from New Rights End Hunger Strike

Two lawmakers from the New Rights party, Lasha Narchemashvili and Davit Ujmajuridze, ended their hunger strike on March 25 following health complications.

“They were taken home and we are absolutely against them continuing their hunger strike,” MP Pikria Chikhradze of the New Rights party told reporters on March 25.

Six lawmakers from the New Rights Party camped just outside Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze’s office inside Parliament launched a hunger strike on March 10 (MP Irakli Iashvili joined his colleagues from the New Rights Party on March 13).
