Georgian, OSCE Officials Discuss South Ossetia

Temur Iakobashvili, the Georgian state minister for reintegration, held talks with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut in Vienna on March 11 to discuss the South Ossetian conflict, the state minister’s office said.

It said that the Georgian state minister informed the OSCE official about Tbilisi proposal to scrap the current quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) and replace it with a 2+2+2 formula, which would see Russia’s North Ossetia being replaced by the Tbilisi-backed South Ossetian provisional administration and the inclusion of the OSCE and the EU.
