Opposition Considers Anti-Governmental Protests

The coordination council of the opposition parties, involving the Conservative, New Rights, Republican, Labor and Freedom parties met on March 22 to discuss organization of a protest rally planned in Tbilisi for March 30.

The opposition plans to make focus on a high-profile murder scandal and demand Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili’s resignation, but the opposition also plans to protest against social issues and unemployment.
