Saakashvili Stresses Importance of Knowledge of Official Language

After congratulating local ethnic Azeri population of Marneuli district in Kvemo Kartli region on the Novruz Bayram holiday on March 21 in Azerbaijani language, President Mikheil Saakashvili stressed on importance of knowledge of official language.

“You are one of the most hardworking citizens of our country… We have the best friendly relations… Your children should learn the state language so that they have equal possibilities and equal rights to be promoted in the hierarchy of state structures,” Saakashvili said speaking at the meeting with the local population in Marneuli.
