State Minister Visits Brussels

Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava left for Brussels on March 6 to hold talks with officials from the European Union over the South Ossetian conflict. 
 
“The European Union should be actively involved in implementing the peace plan on South Ossetia. Their support is extremely important… Therefore, our forthcoming meetings and consultations [with EU official] are very important,” Khaindrava told reporters before departure.
 
The issue of a possible session of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) being held in Brussels will also be discussed during the visit.
