Documentary Filmmakers Held in Abkhazia

News broke on March 5 that Tea Sharia, Tariel Sokhadze, who were traveling in Abkhazia to film the Bedia cathedral in the breakaway region, were arrested by local law enforcers.

Sharia and Sokhadze were filming a documentary about Georgian churches.

Reportedly, these two filmmakers are currently being held in a police station in the Abkhaz capital Sokhumi.
