Georgia Seizes Russian Military Vehicle in Adjara

Georgian Military Police detained on February 17 a vehicle of the Russian military base located in Adjara Autonomous Republic.

According to the Georgian Defense Ministry the Russian military vehicle, which was detained in Batumi, was carrying 42 anti-tank shells.

The Georgian side claims that the vehicle’s movement was not authorized, as the Georgian Defense Ministry was not informed about it in advance. Officials also said that two Russian servicemen accompanying the vehicle had no Georgian entry visas.
