North Ossetia Offers to Hold JCC Session in Vladikavkaz

Russia’s North Ossetia has offered to hold the next session of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) over South Ossetian conflict resolution in Vladikavkaz on January 23-24, Deputy Chief of the North Ossetian President’s Administration Murat Tkhostov told RIA Novosti on January 20.

“The relevant invitations have already been sent to the participants of the negotiating process,” he said.

The South Ossetian side has rejected Tbilisi’s proposal to hold a JCC session in Tbilisi on January 18-20, citing security guarantees.

However, on January 19 Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava again proposed to hold the JCC session in Tbilisi.
