UNA-Georgia to promote Public Service Code

On July 20-21 the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNA-Georgia) will launche a presentation aiming to promote the principles of the Public Service Code and the conference focusing on Public Service Reform titled “Views and Prospective”.


Both events are facilitated in the framework of one project- Creation of Public Service Code, which involves analysis of Georgian legislature in the public administration field, expert research, the study of international models, drafting of public service code.


The presentation, consisting of an exhibition of promotional materials published in frames of the project “Creation of Public Service Code”, targeted raising awareness among the broader public on Public Service Reform issues.


Commercial spots, cartoons, calendars for public servants, promotional boards, public service code concept, information on the public service code project, and research conducted on public administration will be displayed.


The conference covered prospective Public Service reform, where aside from presenting perspectives on reformation, providing summaries of current processes of public service reform, reviewing legislative amendments, and presenting information on public service reform separate directions and presentations of the UNA Georgia’s Public Service Code project will be presented.


The representatives of the judicial, executive, and legislative branches alongside experts from international organizations will focus on the following themes:

• Legislative regulation of public service issues
• Civil initiative on  the public service code
• The role of the Judiciary in finalizing public service legislation
• Innovative models of public service


The project is supported by the Eurasia Foundation Georgia Office, through the US Agency for International Development and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
