Tbilisi, Tskhinvali to Jointly Investigate S.Ossetia Shootout

Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Goga Khaindrava said after the session of a quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC), which was held in Tskhinvali on May 30, that ?the Georgian and South Ossetian sides are interested? in investigating the clash, which resulted in death of four Ossetian armed men and one Georgian policeman on May 29.
 
Goga Khaindrava said a joint investigation group has already been set up, which will brief the JCC session about the preliminary results of the investigation on May 31.
 
?Everybody wants to learn the truth … Such incidents hamper the peacekeeping process,? Goga Khaindrava told Civil Georgia on May 30.
 
The Georgian State Minister also added that the JCC session will continue on May 31 and along with other issues, the sides will discuss the process of demilitarization of the conflict zone.
