Zourabichvili Briefs Foreign Diplomats over Russian Bases

Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili met with the foreign diplomats accredited to Georgia on May 7 to inform them regarding her talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov over the withdrawal of Russian military bases from Georgia, held in Moscow on May 6.

Moscow refuses close down its bases in Batumi and Akhalkalaki by January 1, 2008, as is demanded by the Georgian side.
