NGO Discussion over Racial Problems
The Human Rights Information and Documentation Center (HRIDC) arranged a meeting titled “Racism-Do We Face it in Georgia?” on March 25, 2005.
The cases of discrimination in Georgia were discussed by the representatives of different nationalities and races all over the world. The participants stressed that the problem is not so acute in Georgia as in other countries.
The Human Rights Information and Documentation Center also took the initiative of establishing an organization that would deal with the problems of discrimination and minority rights protection. As HRIDC reports, this idea was welcomed by the participants of the meeting, who decided to implement it as soon as possible.
