Saakashvili Calls on Italian Businessmen to Invest in Georgia
After talks with his Italian counterpart Carlo Azeglio on March 3, visiting Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili called on Italian businessmen to invest in Georgia.
?Our visit?s goal is to make Georgia more popular. We hope that many Italian businessmen will arrive in Georgia and invest in small, medium and large business,? Saakashvili said at a joint news briefing after the talks.
?There are all preconditions to boost ties between our countries,? the Italian President said, adding that Italy is ready to participate in the privatization process and contribute to the development of small and medium business in Georgia.
President Saakashvili arrived in Italy on March 3, following a visit to Moldova. He will also attend a business forum Invest in Georgia, organized by the Georgian Ministry of Economic Development. Afterwards an agreement on cooperation between the Italian and Georgian chambers of commerce and industry will be signed.
