Internal Troops Merge with Defense Ministry

The Georgian Interior Ministry’s combat units – Internal Troops -officially became part of the Defense Ministry’s forces starting from November 1, as a part of reforms within the country’s armed forces.

Outgoing Commander of the Internal Troops Gogi Tatukhashvili will reportedly take over the position of the Commander of the Georgian Land Forces.
