12-year-old Boy Abducted in Western Georgia

(Tbilisi February 13, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Giorgi Sabanidze, 12, was abducted in Zestaponi, western Georgia on February 12.

The news broke after the Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze said at the Parliamentary session on February 12 that the kidnappers demand ransom. She called the Interior Minister to take all the measures to free boy.

Sabanidzes family was blackmailed for several times to pay ransom otherwise criminals threatened to kidnap one of the members of the family.
