President Rules Out Georgian-Russian Joint Operations in Pankisi

(Tbilisi, February 18, Civil Georgia) – Georgian President Shevardnadze stated at the news briefing on February 18 that negotiations are held neither with Russia, nor with the USA on the joint operations in criminal-ridden Pankisi gorge.

“Georgia has its own limited resources, but enough to crackdown on criminals in Pankisi independently,” Eduard Shevardnadze stated.
