Interior Ministry Denies Chechen Guerrillas are in West Georgia

Press-Center of the Interior Ministry denied to the reports on 1000 Chechen boeviks appearing in Georgian provinces bordering Abkhazia. Regional police department  of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti province stated that the statement of the leader of Parliamentary Minority chairman Jemal Gogitidze to this end “is a lie.”

Gogitidze announced earlier today in Parliament that Georgian government was instrumental in transferring the boeviks to West Georgia.
