Georgian Foreign Minister Meets NATO PA President

Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili met with visiting President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Jose Lello on April 18, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

The sides focused on the prospects for Georgia?s integration into NATO, the current situation in the region and energy security.

The minister also briefed the NATO PA President on the ongoing reforms in Georgia and reaffirmed Georgia?s readiness to join the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) in the near future.

Earlier on the same day, the NATO PA President held talks with Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze.
