Georgia’s Foreign Trade in 2019
Georgia’s foreign trade turnover increased by 2.7% in 2019 year-on-year, reaching USD 12.8 billion, according to the preliminary figures released by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) on January 14.
Exports from Georgia increased by 12.4% y/y to USD 3.8 billion, while imports decreased by 0.8% y/y to 9.1 billion. The trade gap stood at USD 5.3 billion.
Geostat will release the detailed figures of foreign trade for 2019 on January 20.
