Five Service Members Dismissed after Brawl Leaves Three Conscripts Wounded

A brawl in the Kojori Sergeant Academy, west of Tbilisi, left five soldiers injured, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported today.

According to the Defense Ministry, the incident occurred in the evening hours of August 1 in a smoking area. All five participants were hospitalized as a result, with three of them having knife wounds.

The Chief of General Staff, Vladimer Chachibaia, said five service members, who were “responsible for ensuring safety and discipline” in the Kojori Academy, would immediately be dismissed from their posts.
