GNCC, Maestro TV Strike ‘Formal Deal’
The Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) and Tbilisi-based Maestro TV reached a formal deal at a hearing at the Court of Appeal on October 28, Giorgi Arveladze, the head of the GNCC, said.
The formal deal paves the way for the GNCC to modify Maestro TV’s broadcast license, allowing the station to broadcast political programs.
Measures required to modify the license are expected to be undertaken by early December, “tentatively on December 2 or 3,” Arveladze told Civil.Ge on October 28.
