U.S. Team Assesses Georgia Needs
A team led by Reuben Jeffery, U.S. under secretary of state for economic, energy and agricultural affairs, is visiting Georgia on August 25-27 to assess the economic and reconstruction needs of the country following the armed conflict with Russia.
The delegation includes high-level representatives from USAID, the Department of Commerce, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the Trade and Development Agency, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Department of the Treasury, according to the U.S. Department of State.
