PM: Inflation Down to 9.8%
Annual inflation rate as of end July decreased to 9.8% from 11.3% at the end June, Prime Minister, Lado Gurgenidze, said on August 6.
Speaking at a government session the PM said it was “a very positive trend.”
He hailed the National Bank of Georgia for curbing inflation down to single-digit for the first time this year, but also added that the government’s target for annual inflation this year was 8%.
"I also want to say that inflation rate in Georgia is lowest in the region, in our neighborhood," Gurgenidze added.
