Imedi TV Tests Broadcast

Imedi TV performed a test broadcast from 7:15 pm to 7:30 pm local time on December 8.

For 15 minutes viewers in a limited number of towns and cities, including Tbilisi and Batumi, saw music videos. Many areas of the country, including Zugdidi in western Georgia, were, however, unable to receive any signal.

The station’s logo reappeared on TV screens after the broadcast. It still remains unclear when Imedi will be able to resume normal programming, particularly news.
