Parliamentary Hearings on Abkhaz Railway Planned
Chief of the state-run Georgian Railway company Irakli Ezugbaia will inform parliamentarians about the ongoing negotiations on resumption of Georgian-Russian railway traffic via breakaway Abkhazia at a session of the Commission for Territorial Integrity.
In early May the Georgian, Abkhaz, Russian, and Armenian sides signed a protocol on establishing a consortium – the Black Sea Railways – which will rehabilitate the Abkhaz section of the railway linking Russia with Georgia and Armenia.
