GUAM Leaders to Meet in Kiev
A summit of the heads of states of the GUAM member states – Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova – will be held in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on May 22-23.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk said on May 16 that GUAM “is not directed against any other organizations.”
During the visit to Ukraine, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is expected to discuss with his counterparts Tbilisi’s possible decision to withdraw from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
