EU Troika Visits Georgia
A delegation of the European Union Troika will visit Georgia on April 20-21, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
The delegation includes Hans Winkler, State Secretary of Austria who also holds the Presidency of the European Union, Terhi Hakala, Ambassador of Finland to Georgia, Peter Semneby, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Kurt Juul, Head of Southern Caucasus and Central Asia of the European Commission Directorate General for External Relations, Torben Holtze, Head of EU delegation to Armenia and Georgia, and Paulo Barroso Simoes, Desk Officer of the Council of the EU Directorate-General for External Relations and Political-Military Affairs.
The Troika delegation will hold talks with President Saakashvili, Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli, Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili and other officials.
The meetings will focus on the prospects of cooperation between Georgia and the European Union, including the issues related to Georgia’s EU Neighborhood Policy Action Plan.
