Russia Resumes Visas for Georgia
The Russian Embassy to Georgia has resumed issuing visas to the Georgian citizens, the Russian Embassy spokesman Mikhail Svirin told RIA Novosti news agency on March 21.
“Starting from March 21 the Consular Department of the Embassy resumed issuing visas at full capacity,” Svirin said.
On February 21 the Consular department of the Russian Embassy in Georgia stopped issuing visas to Georgian citizens, except for “cases of a humanitarian character”, citing the “creation of artificial problems” in issuing visas to the Russian servicemen by the Georgian side.
On March 10 Russia partially resumed issuing visas after Georgia agreed to solve visa problems for the Russian servicemen.
