Georgian Interior Minister Meets Russian Envoy
Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili met with Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vladimir Chkhikvishvili on February 6, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported.
Merabishvili briefed the Russian Ambassador over the recovery of an “IGLA” armed, portable anti-aircraft missile system near the South Ossetian conflict zone on February 2, Guram Donadze, spokesman for the Interior Ministry, said.
The Georgian Interior Minister also plans to hold talks with the American, British and French Ambassadors later on February 6.
Merabishvili said on February 3 that he planned to meet representatives of the foreign diplomatic mission to deliver them information available to the Georgian side regarding the recovery of the anti-aircraft missile system.
